 Dressage Test - Riding Training Day

 

 

 

BD Introductory Test A (2008)

or

BD Scales of Training Test Prelim 1 2006

BD Novice 20 (2007)

 

Have you ever wondered just how to improve your percentages ?

Then this training day could just be for you!

 

Included in this workshop will be :

  • Discussion on the Scales of Training
  • Explanation of what the Dressage Judge is looking for
  • Instruction by Carrie via a headset whilst you ride your first test 
  • Riding through the test of your choice twice
  • Video of both your tests 
  • Discussion & feedback from Richard on how to maximise your score

Time: 10am to 5pm


Cost: £65.00 per person

 IH members £55.00 per person

 

Numbers will have to be limited so please book early to avoid disappointment

 

Lunch not provided but tea, coffee & biscuits will be available.

 

 

 

 

This training day is designed to help you concentrate on your test riding skills and will suit everyone whatever your goals may be. It would also be useful for helping nervous riders build their confidence whilst preparing to ride their horse in a competition environment.  

 

In the morning there will be a discussion on the Scales of Training and how the judge would like to see these demonstrated throughout the movements of your test.

 

You will then have a shared lesson with Carrie working through some of the key movements.

Improving those elusive scores !

 

 

 

In the afternoon Richard will then judge you riding through the tests of your choice. The first time Carrie will be giving you help and tips via a radio mike headset. Richard will then spend time with you discusssing your test sheet and giving you useful feedback on how to improve your score. You will then ride through the test a second time unaided!

 

Both tests will be videoed for you to take home as a useful reference.

 

This workshop could also prove very helpful to anyone wishing to get some experience in company with a young or novice horse.
