and Physiotherapist Joan Would MCSP
Computerised Rider Analysis Clinic

Be prepared for a fun, informative and interesting day !
We all know that the ideal is to be a symmetrical, balanced and centred rider and that if we could only achieve this our horses would go much better for it. Unfortunately it's not that simple or easy to achieve and the majority of riders tend to have one side weaker than the other.
The "Computerised Rider Analysis Clinic" is designed to focus purely on your riding position and posture, with particular attention being given to the symmetry and movement of the pelvis (seat).
This unique opportunity will include:
- Personalised profile of your riding position
- Computerised analysis of your seat with an Electro - Goniometer
- Graph printout of the Goniometer readings
- Video analysis on your horse
- Expert personal instruction focussing on the findings of the data
- Exercises and advise on how to correct your weaknesses and imbalances
Time: 10am to 4pm
Cost: £85.00 per person
IH members £75.00 per person
Numbers will have to be limited so please book early to avoid disappointment
Lunch not provided but tea, coffee & biscuits will be available
If you've already attended one of these courses before, please bring your previous graph printouts
with you this time so comparisons can then be made between them.

In the morning you will ride your horse briefly for a video analysis, whilst wearing the Electro-Goniometer. The data will then be downloaded onto a computer and your personalised graph, like the one opposite, will be produced. The findings of this data, together with your video feedback, will then be explained to you and everyone will get the opportunity to take their own printout home with them. This will then enable you to see, in further print-outs from subsequent clinics, the improvements you have achieved.
On the graph the red line shows the forwards / backwards, hollowing / flattening movements of the lower back and the blue line shows the sideways movement, alternate weighting / lifting of each hip. |

Have fun trying the New iJoyRide |
In the afternoon Carrie and Joan will be working closely together to identify any imbalances, weaknesses and physical issues that can lead to particular riding problems so that you can then be given various exercises and techniques to help you rectify them.
This will be in the form of semi-private riding lessons with Carrie to work with you on improvements to your position, posture and balance and off-horse exercises with Joan incorporating the use of physioballs and the iJoyRide !
