"I contacted Carrie in October 2010 to try to resolve the issue of my horse’s spookiness in the dressage. My horse never did a bad test but I was always so frustrated that her true freedom of movement could never be truly expressed as her nerves over came her. This resulted in tension which was often mistaken for stiffness and lack of suppleness. With only just four sessions with Carrie, the results have been nothing short of extraordinary with the spooking issue now under control. Carrie has given my horse the confidence to cope with fearful situations, which I never thought she would ever have. In all honesty every training session is now a joy. We can get on with training and stop spending half the session desensitising her to every new situation. |
|
My horse and I have coped for three years with this issue and to think that in just four sessions this established behaviour has now been transformed in to a happy relaxed horse. I can’t thank Carrie enough for her work and introducing me to the techniques used by Monty Roberts and the Dually halter. I would thoroughly recommend Carrie to any horse owner."

"Carrie was extremely professional and understanding of our problems with a remedial young horse. The horse made amazing progress under her care and direction. We are now able to progress and ride our young horse in our choosen discipline of dressage with further help and training from Carrie. She is extremely competant and understands the mentality of young horses. I would have no hesitation in recommending Carrie to anyone."

Delighted owner Jane Whaley with her beautiful BWBS mare Westpoint Freya
|
Jane bought Westpoint Freya (Fulton (DV) / Leonardo II (DV) / Luxemburg (Hann)) as a three year-old from breeder Edward Evans of the Westpoint Stud in Shropshire and has kept her at Centre Lines with Carrie ever since.
At the BWBS (British Warm-Blood Society) Mare Grading in 2000 Freya was graded into their Select Stud Book, awarded a prestigious Gold Medal and was also made the Mare Grading Supreme Champion that year.
It was a real team effort and we were all very proud.

"I have known and had lessons from Carrie for approximately 20 years.
In that time she has always impressed me with her intuitive ability to assess horses and riders at any level.
Her excellent communication skills help her to deliver clear and concise instruction that is always beneficial, and gives you the confidence to develop further in your own time."

" I never thought a horse could change so much. Carrie has a unique ability to get the very best from the horse, then has the terrible task of making the rider/owner try and understand and teach us how to treat our horses, to communicate effectively and form a partnership, which she does so patiently.

"Carrie came highly recommended and I haven't been disappointed! My first lesson learnt was with regards to the degree of control that I had with my horse from the ground, (or lack of it!) and how much this linked with ridden control. This was an approach from a trainer that I had never come across before, and has probably, to this day, had the biggest positive effect on the relationship I have with my horse.
Carrie's explanations are clear and concise about the overall structured long term training plan, of working the horse and rider together, ensuring the importance of the correct scales of training. Her flexible training technique ensures that she can adjust sessions as necessary to meet the needs of both horse and rider as required on any given day."

After initially visiting Carrie and her yard, I was very impressed with her honesty, the relaxed atomosphere and excellent training facilities. I thought this made for the perfect environment for Brecks to learn in.
