Tuition

I am currently a registered British Dressage Regional Trainer and Group Two Rider and a Recommended Associate of the Intelligent Horsemanship Association headed by Kelly Marks. I also hold the Pony Club A test and BHSII and have won the Lloyds Bank Young Instructor of the Year competition in 1986.Having worked with a lot of challenging and remedial horses during my career, I also have a keen interest in Natural Horsemanship and the role it plays in a successful training system.

There are a variety of ways that tuition is available to you whether you are interested in basic improvements to your schooling, dressage for competition, foundation groundwork exercises or wanting to learn more about Natural Horsemanship and how to combine the two.

Riding Lessons

After your initial enquiry arrangements will be made for you to come over for an assessment lesson.

This usually lasts about an hour and gives plenty of time for me to listen to your case history and discuss your personal aims and goals. As well as observing you riding, I will also most likely have a sit on your horse myself, so that I can analyse exactly what's going on and advise you on how to progress your horse's training for the future.

From this initial assessment I can then recommend a training programme that will be the most beneficial to help you and your horse achieve your goals.

Follow on lessons are then usually for 45 mins. and will contain elements of reviewing your feedback , learning new skills and planning your homework.
